Restore UK supports refugees and people seeking asylum. We produced one-off sessions for their men’s and women’s groups to make ceramic mugs. Making with clay transcends the need for language, and we work to make a space for creative expression balanced with learning new skills. Each participant made and decorated a mug, that we fired, glazed and returned to them to be kept and used. Through this session we aim to build confidence, a sense of achievement and share the pleasure of making. We believe creativity is vital to wellbeing.
